In addition to the revision of lessons taught in school and reinforcing the understanding of key concepts taught, our sessions will also focus on developing these key skills:
Listen
Our teachers utilize a hands-on approach on subject matter through experiments for Science subjects or graphic explanations for English, Mandarin and Math. Students are required to pay close attention as questions will be asked after that. Students are encouraged to participate in a short question and answer session. Where necessary to emphasize on a topic, students are encouraged to watch short video clips or alternative medium presentations apart from the normal theory teachings.
Read
Reading aloud as a group; could be instructions or a passage. This is encouraged as they go through some questions. This will allow students to pick up intonation and pronunciations from each other. Teachers will be around to assist on mistakes in the reading.
Communicate
Once a month project work. Usually conducted 4th week of the month. Task will be given to the student beginning of the month and they are encouraged to do research and do a mini presentation (duration for presentation, usually 60 seconds).
Write
Assessments are conducted in class to help students understand the concepts and subject matters taught. Students will also have assignments to be completed at home and handed in thereafter.
